For folks who live in Australia, venomous spiders and snakes are all part of normal life. They are just as dangerous to all the other animals anyway. However, one particular type of spider has a special vendetta against humans. It is called the funnel-web spider, and you should be glad it only lives in Australia. If you run into one of these, you will wish that you hadn’t. Their venom doesn’t seem to affect other animals at all, but humans experience almost immediate symptoms. Death can occur anywhere from three days to just 15 minutes after a bite. If you’re bitten, get anti-venom fast!
